Des statistiques pour savoir sur quoi sensibiliser ….

Après avoir fait des recherches sur le plastique, et préparé des questionnaires, puis réalisé un sondage dans les rues de Saint Ouen et auprès d’élèves indiens, les 5^e8 ont réalisé des graphiques afin de faire des statistiques en cours de Mathématiques avec Mme Bourgeois et Mme Mayer.

Ces statistiques nous permettent de noter les différences à la fois les pratiques mais aussi les représentations entre les deux pays et de développer leurs compétences en mathématiques.

Ils ont ciblé plusieurs problématiques et travaillent actuellement sur différents formats pour sensibiliser à la pollution plastique en anglais.

 

Et des expériences pour mieux comprendre encore ….

En parallèle, ils ont réalisé des expériences sur les courants marins en TP d’SVT avec Mme Mayer en version bilingue, documents à l’appui, et avec l’assistance des étudiants de Centrale Supélec venus les rencontrer.

L’objectif était de comprendre comment les courants marins se formaient, et comment le 7è continent était formé.

A l’issue de la séance, ils ont posé des questions sur les études d’ingénieur, puis ils ont rédigé une synthèse de leurs expériences en anglais.

The Ecoclub project with the 5e8 is still on and doing well !

Statistics to know on which subjects awareness is still lacking…

After a research paper on plastic, and the writing of a survey, and using it with people passing by in Saint Ouen and Indian students from Patna, the students of 5e8 made graphics in Maths class with Mrs Bourgeois and Mrs Mayer.

These statistics allowed us to see which are the differences between the two countries regarding practises and representations, as well as developping new mathematic skills.

Thanks to them, they identified different matters to tackle and are on an ongoing task of finding ways to raise more awareness.

And some experiment to understand marine currents and the seventh continent  ….

Meanwhile, in Biology class, they  experimented marine currents with Mrs Mayer, In French and in English, with the help of documents, and University students from Centrale Supélec.

The aim was to understand how marine currents (surface and depp) happen to be, and how the seventh continent happens to be made.

At the end of the experiene, they asked questions about the ingeneer’ studies to the University Students and wrote a summary of their observations in English.
